Arm Length

   The length of the arm may be different from rider to rider depending on the height and style. The largest arms offer much better comfort, help pressure heavier gear with less pedaling. Such class athletes are mountain bikers or bikers in the individual Time Trial. As standard measure we use arms length 170mm, for bike length C-T as 54cm. The arms of 170-172.5mm used by bicycles from 55-61cm (CT) and the
latest and greatest arms with a length of 172.5 - 175mm used in even larger size bicycles. The mountain bikes usually use 2.5mm larger arms than road bikes. This means that for the same cyclist in road bike uses 172.5mm arm and in the mountain bike uses 175mm.
